Programmes are tailored to your goals, providing the right balance of cardio and resistance training, and supported by a targeted nutrition plan. The right balance of foods, portion sizes and meal timing is critical to your success. Personal training sessions focused on resistance training provide an intense workout, burning several hundred calories per hour, boosting the body's metabolism even on days you don't train. This reduces body fat, improves strength and flexibility, and gives you the body you want.
Women: The media targets women with fad diets, and puts more importance on rapid, unsustainable weight loss than on health. Losing weight in a healthy way is possible, by understanding what is in your food, and achieving the right balance. Women fear they will 'bulk up' through resistance training, but they do not have the testosterone levels required to do so. Resistance training allows women to drastically cut body fat while achieving a more toned body.
Men: With less time for sport and fitness after beginning their professional careers, men often gain body fat around their mid-section, lose muscle and become out-of-breath more easily. These developments can be reversed through resistance training and a tailored nutrition plan, to burn excess body fat, boost metabolism and gain a more muscular physique.
Over-40s: Our metabolism slows as we age and unless we reduce our calorie intake accordingly we gain weight. In our 40s we start to lose muscle mass and slowly lose mobility and strength. A fitness programme involving resistance training can counteract this: strengthening muscles (for mobility) and bones (guarding against osteoporosis) while boosting metabolism back to normal levels.
